UGLI Monthly Resources
OCTOBER
Bullying Prevention & Advocacy
FOCUS
Building empathy, advocacy, and a positive peer culture by empowering students to recognize, prevent, and respond to bullying.
Why This Matters
October is National Bullying Prevention Month, making it the perfect time to reinforce UGLI's mission. Students play an important role in creating a culture where kindness is the norm and everyone feels safe and supported. This month encourages students to move beyond being bystanders and become upstanders who promote respect and inclusion.
GOALS
By the end of the month, students should:
Recognize the difference between bullying, conflict, and teasing.
Understand the role of an upstander.
Practice empathy and respectful communication.
Promote kindness throughout the school community.
